There is this emptiness, a hole that needs to be filled with people of color and their histories, stories and struggles. We have a vision to not conform and to dare to imagine new ways of existing in the world. A new way to experience shared histories of our upbringings and our ancestral sacrifices to get to this point. And what are we willing to sacrifice for our future generations. For starters, how do we get to a future? – global warming, the current way of life is not sustainable so how can we use film to embrace different ways of being and relating to one another and the earth? Our mission is to use film to explore the possible different ways for a sustainable future via unique colorful stories.
I want the world to recognize our stories and experience those different ways of relating. These stories have the unique ability to make people who have been historically marginalized feel seen and validated. I want to share our stories in hopes that the world can learn from our rich histories, upbringings, joys, sorrows, and most importantly cultures and families. In sharing these important perspectives and showing the best of what marginalized communities in the US and around the world have to offer, I hope that it will create a ripple effect that will change minds and hearts and maybe even change the world.
Actor | Director | Producer
My journey started as a theatre actor 13 years ago. I'm an actor at heart, through hard work and
persistence, I made my way into modeling and dancing. These tools helped me find my footing in film,
and commercial acting. After I graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor's in Dramatic Arts, Theatre and
in 2016 I founded a theatre company and produced and directed 12 diverse stage plays. This year, I launched this film production company because I’m passionate about raising the visibility for people of color in the entertainment industry and they need to be recognized. I have actively collaborated with 5 writers in the industry to identify and build powerful scripts, 2 short film and 1 feature film script finalized and 4 in the work so far. I’m also working with 2 studios to bring some of their projects to life.
I take inspiration from my family and upbringing, straddling borders and cultural lines between India and
America. I was born in India, and moved to California at the age of 7. I come from a large
family, my father's side was in the city while my mother's side was from a village (Palletooru). I had the
privilege of spending time at both places and I paid special attention to the differences between urban and
rural life. I came to appreciate village life, specifically the connection to the earth. This expanded my point
of view on culture and gave me a deeper appreciation of my roots. Those memories are engrained in me
and they inspire me to build a better platform for my people.

My name is Santiago Lamas. I’m a recent graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I took a passion in acting after studying music for the last 10 years of my life. I found a passion that I wholeheartedly want to devote my craft to while learning and expanding my horizons to the the world around me and what lies ahead.
My name is Nicole Gennaoui. I recently graduated with a film minor and I am currently a film graduate student. Through my studies, I have done extensive research on classical Hollywood and contemporary cinema. Through years of studying and researching cinema, I found out how film is an immensely powerful medium that can change lives. There are so many films that have shaped me and changed my outlooks on life. With the right hands, film can be used as a positive tool for social change. Golden Horizon Pictures captured my interest due to their mission to bring underrepresented stories to audiences. These stories deserve to be told and to be seen.
My name is Nia Williams. I recently graduated from California State University, Los Angeles (CalStateLA), with a degree in Television, Film, and Media Studies with an emphasis on Production. Growing up as a little girl from a small town in Michigan, I knew Hollywood and LA were where I was meant to be. So when everyone would ask me what I wanted to do with my life, it was a no-brainer, become an Actress. Throughout my studies, I learned what it’s like to be behind the camera instead of in front, which was far more fascinating. It takes a village to create something as elaborate and intricate as a film, so I realized I wanted to become a Producer. Golden Horizon Pictures shows me daily that no matter who you are or where you come from if you have passion and are a storyteller, you’re welcome here because everyone has a story to tell; find your village and create it!
